Yoga Classes

Yoga is an ancient discipline that originated in India around 5000 years ago. It focusses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical, emotional and mental well-being. The main components of Yoga are postures (asanas), a series of movements to increase balance, strength, joint mobility and flexibility, and breathing.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Sarah teaches flow yoga classes, moving smoothly from posture to posture almost like a dance. Each posture is connected with an inhalation or exhalation, so the yoga unites the breath or prana with the sequence, allowing you to experience a fluid physical motion. The flowing movements may be held for slightly longer in certain positions to increase strength and flexibility in the posture. Sarah usually plans her classes to work towards one key posture so you are progressing and advancing your practice with each class you attend.

Restorative Yoga

For a more calming experience, Charlie teaches restorative yoga classes. The emphasis is on slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. The class involves holding postures for longer, usually around 3-6 minutes, so your muscles can fully relax as bolsters and props support your body and allow you to ease into the pose.

Seasonal Yoga

Seasonal yoga is a style of flow yoga with postures carefully chosen to align you with the changing energies of nature and the seasons. Rooted in the ancient wisdoms of yoga and traditional Chinese medicine, seasonal yoga helps you move closer towards living in tune with nature.

Embodied Flow

Embodied Flow is a combination of different styles of yoga. A gentle start to connect with body and breath, a more dynamic practice in the middle and restorative yoga to finish. Suitable for all levels with lots of options offered throughout the class.

Flow and Rest

A yang to yin style class combining vinyasa flow with restorative yoga and relaxation. The vinyasa element will involve flowing sequences to warm the body and connect with the breath. The dynamic movement will be balanced with calming restorative postures and blissful relaxation.
